DSK Supinfogame is the first International Video Game institute in India. This institute is dedicated to those who want to become professionals in the video game industry. As per the FICCI KPMG Indian Media & Entertainment Industry report 2010, the industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 32 percent between 2009 and 2014 to reach INR 31.9 billion by 2014. Video Game is one of the major sources of today's entertainment and the market is emerging, in India and is evolving very fast. The Indian gaming companies need skilled people in order to develop the market here.
In order to become a game designer, students have to understand both creative and technical aspects of the general workflow of a production. The game design courses have been developed in consultation with the video game design industry. This ensures that the students of the institute have the best opportunity to meet needs of employers, both in India and abroad.
During the course, the students get to understand the importance of the technical aspects and organizational process. They work on many different small production projects and enhance their creativity and imagination of new concepts for the next generation of games and gamers.
The students start with learning the basis of what a game is. They begin to create their own board games, new card games and other forms of 'classic' games. In a second time they are trained to master, invent and produce any genre of game related to the digital environment (online, mobile, console...)
