Guillaume Zaslavsky

Principal, Head of Studies

Having joined ISD in 1998 after a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering in Paris, Guillaume Zaslavsky successfully completed the 3 year Advanced Design course. He has graduated with a Master in Engineering Product Design from ISD France. During his scholarship at ISD, he spent his first internship at EUROSIT, a French company specialized in office furniture production and distribution, where he designed an office chair named Bob. The project is really successful and the chair is still produced and sold world-wide.

After graduation Guillaume worked again with EUROSIT to finish a project he started during his previous internship, and then joined DECATHLON Design Studio (Oxylane Group) in Lille (North of France) as Innovation Packaging and Product Designer. He worked for many different brands of the group, and was also part of the Advanced Design team with Philippe Vahe. In 2006, Guillaume joined CRUMPLER Design Studio in Vietnam, where he also founded KAMIKAZA, a Studio specialized in designing and producing contemporary furniture.

Philippe Vahe

Advisor

Philippe Vahe earned a Master in Industrial Design from the Institute Superieur de Design in Valenciennes , France in 1994. In 1997, he joined Decathlon Design, where he created best-selling sport goods products. While working for DecathIon, he won several prestigious design awards, including the International Design Excellence Award (USA), the Annual Design Review( USA ), the Red Dot Award (D), and L ' Observer du Design (F). In a short span of time, Decathlon has attained the pinnacle as a topnotch innovative company (Business Week July08).

In 1999, he co-founded the European Alias Users Association, the largest organization dedicated to Alias Studio software users. He has taught product design and 3D modeling at ISD since 1999. In 2001, he created the brand miam-miam with two friends, a brand of accessories for bars and restaurants which are available in the market since 2003.

Julien Plougastel

Head of Digital Design Management

Julien joined ISD coming from a scientific background, with 1 year of Academic Drawing course and a Bachelor Degree in Product Design. With his skill and passion for 3D technologies, he naturally specialized in Digital Design. He worked in the world famous design agency 'Teague', based in Seattle USA, where he produced many Super realistic and High Quality images and animations for clients like Intel, HP, Microsoft.

Then, still curious about world travel and attracted by the luxury domain, he moved to the UK and joined the 'Bentley Motors' design studio, in a brand new team dedicated to Virtual Visualization. There he considerably changed the way designers were presenting car concepts, providing them with up to date digital tools and a variety of communication supports.

After returning back to Paris in 2009, he integrated the "Cartier Jewelry" engineering department, and collaborated with designers to develop complete collection from beginning to production. While this time, he learnt a lot about rapid prototyping technologies and Industrial processes.

Over the last 6 years, Julien also developed a true passion for photography, which daily helps him to enhance his technical skills in picture making.

Fabien Rougemont

Manager of Motorcycle & Light Mobility Design Projects

Having joined ISD in 2000 after an A-Level in Applied Arts in Paris, Fabien ROUGEMONT successfully completed the five-year course with distinction; he is now a ISD France graduate with a Master in Automotive and Transportation Design Degree.

After his diploma, Fabien joined BOXER DESIGN studio in Toulouse [South of France] as automotive and motorcycle head designer. There, he designed two consequent projects: an electric car presented on the International Paris Automotive Show [September 2008] and an electric two wheeler that is still in development and negotiation for industrialization by a great manufacturer.

Fabien also worked successfully for many worldwide brands like Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Scorpa,Voxan in motorcycle design and many more like Peugeot, Eurocopter, Shark Helmets etc.

In DSK ISD, Fabien Rougemont is in charge of the Cintiq, sketch, drawing and rendering courses and is the supervisor for the prototyping and advanced clay modeling. He is also managing the motorbike design projects. Recently, Fabien was heading the “S.U.M Concept”, a Sport Utility Motorcycle for the Indian market. The presentation of the prototype in the Delhi Motor Show 2010 was a success in the true sense.

Mandar Kale

Industrial Designer, ISD

Mandar Kale is an Industrial Designer by profession. He is eminently qualified with a BE and is an alumni of IIT Mumbai having done his post graduation in Industrial Design there. He has varied experience in the fields of Product Design, Interaction Design, Automotive Design and Design Research. As a consultant he has also worked with Innovation Cell (IDC IIT Bombay), has represented IDC at the Auto Expo 06 and has been a speaker at the CII Design summit 2009. His passion is drawing, sketching and his interests lie in Transportation Design, Product Design and Design Research.

Nigel Lopes

Senior Prototypist

Nigel Lopes comes from an Engineering background with hands on experience in the field of prototyping, he would be considered proficient in usage of fiberglass as well as clay and is responsible for guiding students in getting their designs to finish products. He has had additional training in Singapore with respect to Paint Technology. He has worked on innumerable projects on bikes as well as Cars as a freelancer.

Nitin Gawai

2D Trainer

Nitin comes from an engineering background with specialization in electronics and telecommunication. He was previously working as Academic Head for Arena Animation, sister concern of Aptech Ltd.

Currently he is working as Graphic Trainer at DSK ISD and he is also responsible for visual communication of the school. During his spare time he likes to listen to music, watch films and he is very passionate about cricket.

Amit Inamdar

R &D Manager

Amit Inamdar comes from an Engineering background and holds a Masters Degree in Product Design and Management from the University of Liverpool, UK. He has worked with companies such as DaimlerChrysler India (Mercedes Benz) and Rolls Royce (Scotland). During his tenure in UK, he worked for 'Centre of Professional Excellence in Engineering Science and Technology' (CPE ASET) to build virtual learning tools along with teaching at University of Liverpool.

Amit is also a PTC Certified 'Pro-Engineer' Trainer. As a Freelancer he worked as a Product Design Consultant for different companies like Godrej.

Joel Alphonso

Planning and Development Manager, ISD

Joel comes from a Business Administration / Management background having completed his graduation and post graduation in England, where he worked mainly in the charitable and public sector. To DSK-ISD he brings his experience of corporate development to help ISD connect with the industry both internationally and in the domestic market in a two way relationship i.e. bring external expertise inside ISD and ISD talent to the design market. As planning and development manager one of his other roles is also to assist students in securing internships. His passions include current affairs, reading and writing.

Severine Soares

Academic Assistant, ISD

Severine Soares is the academic assistant at DKS ISD, Pune. She has both academic as well as professional experience. Her interests mainly lie in academics. At DSK ISD, her work mainly involves preparing student report cards, arranging parent-teacher meetings, looking after new student's requirements, taking weekly stock of necessities and arranging school promotional activities. Part of her responsibilities includes coordinating and constantly being in touch with parents. Severine is passionate about art and likes sketching in her spare time.
