Master class
The best design studios are in Europe and US and the 'know-how' is in these studios. At DSK ISD, every year, we organize several Masterclasses and we invite many excellent designers from these epicentres. Masterclasses are a one week intense session under the guidance of these professionals.
These are focused on one "expert subject", for example: How to design sport shoes? How to design a car interior? For the students, it is an amazing opportunity to meet and exchange knowledge and experience with really accomplished Industrial Designers.
Jury member
At the end of the 5th year our students are evaluated by jury consisting of important professionals from the industry. You can be part of this and evaluate our students and their work. Help them understand the industry's requirements and become part of this process of creating quality designers of the future.
It would be our pleasure to have you on the jury if you would like to join us to evaluate the long projects; it is an opportunity for you to gauge the talent of our students, through work of their own carried out over a period of months.
Work on projects
DSK ISD is always on the lookout of companies willing to work collaterally with us to undertake 'long projects' that are worked on for a whole semester. All we expect is, for you to give us a project brief which could be as long or as short as you deem fit. Additionally it would be beneficial if there could be one assigned company designer to monitor and provide guidance to the project - again this can be done through more modern ways of communication like e-mail, skype etc. in situations where a physical meeting is not possible. We will also be happy to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Hire designers for specific projects
Where your company or you have a specific requirement or need in terms of a designer we will try and meet your requirement, because we strongly believe the more exposure our students have to real projects, the better they can gauge the business side of designing which is becoming more and more critical in this industry. You could hire one designer or a group of designers form DSK ISD.
Mentor
Our students need constant guidance and support not only from our faculty but industry professionals. You can help our students by mentoring them throughout their course and providing them useful assistance in their work .We will co-ordinate such mentoring programmes to ensure the level of communication is not overloaded.
Recruit interns
Our students have to compulsorily undertake 6 month long internships during their 4th and 5th years. Hence where you feel you are able to support the institution we would be very happy to give you the first choice of the talent as and when possible.
